Seven things about myself:
1. I'm an advocate for natural birth and pray to be a motivator for a better birth culture.
2. I speak Spanish and wish I could also say that I speak Arabic, but I don't.
3. I used to SCUBA dive (it seems like that was a former life).
4. I was a district manager in a very large firm in the United States (another former life).
5. At fifteen I wanted ten kids, five boys/five girls, but never dreamed I'd get this close!
6. I pray Allah make me as good as some readers think I am as HE knows and judges all.
7. I used to decorate cakes as a hobby (again, it seems in a former life).
I don't think I know fifteen blogs but here's the list of those I read:
Mashaa Allah happy for u subhan Allah when I read the 7 things about your self I remembered what u tell me when we have a walk in the club garden in Alex that u leave behind a lot to be MUSLIM and I want to tell u what our prophet Mohamad (SAAW) said who leave something for Eslam Allah give him better than what he left

Salam Alaikum, Dr. Hanna,
ReplyDeleteIt's true I left a life and a lifetime of possessions and friends behind. But nothing I left has left a hole in my life that Allah hasn't filled ten-fold, alhamdulelah. It's never easy to walk away from everything you know and head into the unknown, but with Allah it was with peace and trust that I did so.
I am so happy for the opportunity to work with you and to plant the seeds of natural birth in Egypt and watch you cultivate them. :)
I'd love to post your story from your perspective! I'll be waiting for it, insha'Allah!
Best regards,
-Aisha, Natural Mom
Salam Alaikum,
DeleteIm writing you with the emotion and scare of a first time pregnant. I will give birth in Cairo in about 3 months insha Allah. I want it to be a natural birth but seems here doctors are in such a rush that they advised in last minute both sisters of my husband to have c-section just for their wish to move fast to next patient. I don't want this to happen to me also. I don't speak arabic yet (english is not my native either but i manage it) Im allergic to some medicines(had anaphilactic shock), not sure wich i should be tested for before giving birth.
I am really searching for someone like doula or doctor who will stick to my plan of natural birth so please if you have any recomandation for person who can help it will mean so much, please contact me by email at mikystix@yahoo.com
Wa alaikum asalam, Ukhty,
DeleteMasha’Allah, alf mabrook on your pregnancy! May Allah make your birth easy and your baby healthy and pleasing to HIM and his/her parents.
Unfortunately, I do not have contacts in Cairo. However, there is a doctor who supports natural birth in Alexandria. If you’re interested to travel there and stay for your birth I can put you in touch, insha’Allah.
Best regards,
-Aisha, Natural Mom
Asalamu Alaikum, I'm flattered! Jazaki'Allahu khair. Will return the favor in a new FHWS post tomorrow insha'Allah. Stay tuned!
